Side Games [Vectrex]

Side Games brings together four Vectrex homebrew titles from Future Vector, across two cartridges: Honey Be Honey, Street Judges, and Nuka Bomb on Part A, and Robusters on Part B.

Installation: Connect the Controller to Port #1 (right) and the Light Pen (or a second Controller) to Port #2 (left). Each game has different hardware requirements — see below.

Main Menu (Part A): Select a title from the sub-menu with the Light Pen or the Controller joystick, then confirm with the Light Pen or any Controller button.

Honey Be Honey (2 players — Light Pen + Controller) Honey, a tiny bear, has decided to dance on the highest shelf — to her dad's dismay. Everything from honey jars to grandma's Vectrex is falling down! One player uses the Light Pen to catch falling objects and put them back on the shelf; the other picks which object falls next with the Controller. Break 5 objects and the "Dad" player loses. Swap roles anytime.

Street Judges (1 player — Controller) Bring order by clearing the streets of reckless Surfers defying the Justice Department's authority. Steer your Lawmaster with the joystick, adjust speed with Buttons #3/#4 to catch them, then bring them back to the H-Wagon for the penal colony. Ride over arrows to regain lives — but don't hurt citizens, and let the allied paratroopers land safely. Pause anytime with Button #4.

Nuka Bomb (1 player — Light Pen + Controller) Nuclear war is no longer a threat — it's a reality, and bombs are raining down on your Megapolis. Charge your Vecto Cannon with Button #2, then release it for a continuous energy stream that destroys anything in its path. Catch falling parachute bonuses with the Light Pen to overcharge it, and grab disruptor grenades to clear the screen with Button #1 — but watch out for time bombs, they'll slow you down.

Robusters (2 players — 2 Controllers, Part B cartridge) Challenge your opponent in a violent robot fight. Strike with Buttons #2, #3, #4, parry with Button #1. Send a powerful kick by quickly pushing the joystick towards your opponent twice in a row. Push up to jump, down to crouch. No mercy between robots!

Note: Honey Be Honey and Nuka Bomb require a working Light Pen accessory.

Every ROM here runs on real Vectrex hardware — hand-tuned 6809 assembly, no shortcuts. Load it on a flash cart, or play it emulated.
